I am running Vista Home Premium edition. Build 5384 with an Admin account. If I try to Install an INF file I am get a "cannot copy file to destination directory" - that is the the system32/drivers directory.
Is that expected? If so how can I install a driver - I get a similar - Access denied error using the DIFxApi.
Thanks

Installing drivers from INF Files
Try updating the Device Driver through Device Manager > Start > Control Panel > (set Classic View) > System > Advanced System Settings > Hardware > Device Manger > select the device, expand the tree, right click it, on the context menu click Update Driver > point where the .inf is located on your system. -- -- Andre Windows Connected | http://www.windowsconnected.com Extended64 | http://www.extended64.com Blog | http://www.extended64.com/blogs/andre http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta
